Pilates Indy is honored to host Body Arts and Science International’s teacher training program. This contemporary comprehensive certification has a solid foundation in the classical teachings of Joseph Pilates, BASI is dedicated to their students and strives to provide the most comprehensive training experience.
The Comprehensive course is divided into two six module sections for a total of twelve modules. The first six modules are known as the Foundation Apparatus Program and the second six modules are known as the Graduate Apparatus Program. After the first weekend of modules, students embark on a combination of observation, self practice, and practice teaching hours. After the completion of the FAP, trainees may choose to sit for their Mat Examination. Trainees are eligible for the Comprehensive Examination after successful completion of all 12 modules and 500 hours combined of observation (100), self practice (200), and practice teaching (200) hours.
